Emilee returns to the Mazda MX-5 Series and the TrueCar Racing Women Empowered Initiative for her second season in 2013. Last season, in her inaugural year of professional racing, the 20-year old Catholic University junior posted two top-ten finishes and ended her season in tenth-place in the Championship.
A competitive soccer player throughout her younger career, Emilee got her first taste of racing when New Jersey Motorsports Park opened in 2008 and has been hooked ever since.
In the spring of 2010, her parents sent her to the Bertil Roos racing school which made her eligible to apply for a SCCA regional license, which she got later that year and began her racing career that October. In her SCCA debut, she drove to a second-place finish in her class. She continued to race in SCCA throughout 2011 and posted multiple podium finishes, including two track records in the Showroom Stock B class, before moving to the Mazda MX-5 Cup for the 2012 season.
